Enchanting in Interlude: rules, risk, scrolls

Last updated: Based on Lineage 2 Interlude

Enchanting uses enchant scrolls to raise the +value of a weapon or armor piece for better stats. Up to a low safe level success is guaranteed; beyond it each attempt can fail and, depending on server rules, may destroy the item. Risk grows with every level.

The basics

  • Scrolls are specific to the item type and grade.
  • There is a safe level up to which enchanting does not fail (commonly a few levels).
  • Beyond the safe level, a failure can destroy the item.

Rules of thumb

  • Never enchant an item you cannot afford to lose.
  • Do not follow strangers who promise guaranteed results.
  • Learn what your server's chances and protections are first.

Server note

Success rates, the safe level and protections such as blessed scrolls are decided by each server and are not described here.
