How to choose a clan on a private server

Last updated: Based on Lineage 2 Interlude

To choose a clan, look at how active it is, whether its goals match yours, how it shares loot, what language and time zone it plays in, and how its leaders treat members. Ask questions before joining and leave quietly if the clan turns out to be a bad fit.

Checklist

  • Activity: are members online when you play?
  • Goals: leveling help, sieges, bosses, PvP or relaxed play?
  • Rules: loot rules, behavior and what is expected of you.
  • Language and time zone.
  • Leadership: do leaders communicate clearly?

Warning signs

  • Pressure to hand over items or account details.
  • No clear rules and constant drama.
  • Promises that sound too good.

Tip

Ask to speak with a leader, and try playing with the clan for a few days before committing.
