Lineage 2 content was released in versions called chronicles. Interlude sits in the middle of that line: it has the classic races, three professions, Olympiad, sieges and a mature item system, but not the larger systems and races that later chronicles such as High Five added.
Compared with earlier chronicles
Earlier chronicles have less content and fewer systems. Interlude is usually seen as a more complete experience while still keeping the slower classic feel.
Compared with later chronicles
Later chronicles such as High Five add more content, classes and larger changes to balance and gear. Players who like faster, more modern play often prefer those.
